1958
West Valley Construction Company is incorporated in Los Gatos, California by founders Charles Frybarger, Dewain Azevedo, Chet Miller, Ed Edwards, John Clark, and Cloyd Fowler.

1971
The Company moves its headquarters from Los Gatos to its current location in Campbell, CA.

1972
First joint venture for performance of large AT&T contract in the Central Valley.

1975
WVCC becomes one of the first construction companies in California to offer an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

1985
WVCC and joint venture partners install 100 miles of fiber-optic cable through the scenic Feather River Canyon in Plumas County in Northern California.

1989
Our employees respond to the Loma Prieta Earthquake by repairing hundreds of broken pipelines and working around-the clock to maintain and re-establish water service.

2000
WVCC’s in-house Design-Build Division is established to provide superior cost efficiencies for our clients.

2008
West Valley Construction celebrates its 50th Anniversary.

2010
Using Job Order Contract/Design Build, 40,000 ft. of water main installation is completed in nine months.

2011
ENR (Engineering News Record) ranks WVCC #6 Contractor in the “Top 20 Specialty Firms in Utility” in the U.S.

2013
WVCC establishes a charitable foundation to enable the Company and partners to raise money for charities important to the communities in which we work.

2015
West Valley’s safety program delivers Industry-leading results while supporting significant Company growth.

2017
