Diversity & Inclusion

West Valley is committed to fostering and maintaining and culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion.

Diversity and Inclusion

We believe that the differences every employee brings to our workplace—race, color, age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, culture, life experiences, knowledge, socio-economic status, unique capabilities and talent and so much more—all contribute to the enormous success the West Valley enjoys.

Diversity and inclusion are essential to West Valley’s success.

Every employee is valued and appreciated for who they are and what they contribute to West Valley.  Demonstrating respect for each other, ensuring equal opportunity to learn, grow and succeed, and preventing discrimination, harassment, and bullying in the workplace is an absolute commitment.

Employees know that they have a responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect at all times and that they are required to exhibit conduct that promotes inclusion during work, at work functions, and at all company-sponsored events on or off the worksite.

All policies and practices from recruiting to the selection, training and development, compensation, benefits, promotions, social and recreational programs, layoffs and terminations are applied in a fair, equitable manner.

Employees are required to participate in harassment prevention and diversity awareness training.

Inclusion is ensuring that all employees are valued and all individuals regardless of their differences are given the opportunity to succeed and contribute to the Company’s success.

In addition to our diverse workforce, we are especially proud of our Supplier Diversity Program, a large network of diverse suppliers and subcontractors, managed by our Asst. Vice President Contracts/Diversity Manager.

We continue to seek additional qualified WMDVBE and LGBT quality services and subcontractors in the communities we serve.
