Managers Make a Difference. West Valley has been in business for over 58 years, and is a leader in underground utility construction. We seek experienced professionals, college interns and graduates who want to work in a dynamic and challenging environment that fosters personal and professional growth. By joining WVCC, you have the opportunity to work with a team of professionals dedicated to excellent customer service and long-term relationships.
Be an Owner. After six months of full-time employment as a manager, you may be eligible to participate in the Company Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and become an owner of WVCC. After one year of employment, you may be considered for the opportunity to purchase additional stock in the Company at a discounted rate.
Benefits. The Company also provides a very competitive benefit package including four health insurance plans to select from including 2 plans with Health Savings Accounts; Dental; Vision; Life and AD&D insurance; and long-term disability insurance plus paid vacation, paid sick leave, and paid holidays.
Craft Employees. Craft employees are the backbone of the Company. We look for the best candidates who are committed to producing quality work safely. All craft employees must be a current member of one of several unions, or must join the specific union for their craft after being hired. The Company contributes to a Union Trust for their benefits.
Internships. We believe that you learn by doing, not by sitting behind a desk. That’s why we are committed to giving interns the opportunity to work with experienced Project Engineers and Project Managers. An Intern can expect to contribute to timely bid proposals, conduct job walks, obtain pricing from vendors, video-tape job sites, assist in preparing work schedules, visit job sites on a regular basis and more. We want Interns to be exposed to all project phases so that when their internship ends, they can truthfully say “it was a great learning experience.”
“When I joined the West Valley team, I was not assigned a desk job, but was given the opportunity to get involved and contribute to projects in the field right away. That experience and mentoring by experienced managers has helped me advance my career with the Company. By far, the best thing about working at West Valley is the people. It’s great to work with such a dedicated, honest, and hardworking group of individuals. ‘We Build it Right’ is something the West Valley team does very well.”
